Every year, our CHIMIREC Javené subsidiary trans-
forms 20,000 tonnes of high calorific value waste (paint
residues, industrial and hydrocarbon sludge, adhe-
sives, and sealants, etc.) into Energy Substitution Fuel.
Recovery rate: 100%
With its ECO-LOGISTIQUE reuse subsidiary, the
CHIMIREC Group contributes to the recycling of plastic
and the reuse of plastic containers, a worldwide pollu-
tion problem. Every year, 20,000 tonnes of plastic pack-
aging are recovered through reuse and 5,000 tonnes of
plastic packaging are 100% recycled.
In 2019, our partnership with the start-up Cy-clope
has enabled us to collect and recycle 100 million cig-
arette butts. Classified as Hazardous Waste by INERIS
(Institut National de l'Environnement Industriel et des
Risques), each cigarette butt discharged into the sew-
ers pollutes 500 litres of water.
